Here at Bertie HQ our buyers and in house designers are constantly looking to emerging youth and street fashion as inspiration for next season, travelling to the world’s hottest city spots in order to deliver individual styles that aren’t afraid to be different.

If you are based in London come and pop by our new stores in Covent Garden and South Molton Street, housing the entire Bertie collections – including our recent new bag additions which are already creating a stir amongst our Bertie followers, press and fashion bloggers. If you aren’t based in the big smoke you can also find our shoes in department store giants John Lewis and Debenhams.

Bertie is part of The Dune Group which was formed in March 2009 with the acquisition by Dune of Shoe Studio, which now houses Bertie, Pied a Terre, Chelsea Cobbler and the online footwear website Shoestudio.com.

The Bertie Story…

SINCE 1974

Carlo, a Milan airport cleaner, spent many of his breaks chatting to shoe salesman who frequently travelled to and from Italy. Without realising it, Carlo was starting his love affair with shoes! Before long, brooms were swapped for shoe bags, buckets for order books and floor cleaner for shoe polish. Thanks to an opportunity from one of his new footwear buddies, he joined the airport hoppers travelling the world and selling shoes. In 1974 because of Carlo’s new found love, ‘Bertie’ was created. Still to this day Bertie is designed with passion and individuality: personal to our customers but inspirational to all.
